In July 2002, we launched an Anti-Tobacco Awareness Programme for School Children. Since then, 17,345 children and 564 teachers have participated in this initiative.
Permanent Exhibition at the Institute

Public Education on Cancer
RCS actively participates in awareness programs, distributing pamphlets on Anti Smoking & Tobacco Hazards. We also promote self-examinations for breast and mouth health.
Diagnostic Camps
RCS through the Smt. Vasantben R. Desai Cancer Research Center conducts diagnostic camps in cities and remote villages of Saurashtra and Kutch. A recurring camp has been held at Veraval for the past 16 years.

I had Cancer of Posterior Part of the Tongue (Behind of Tongue), diagnosed in November 2007. I was treated with Radiation Treatment and Chemotherapy at N. P. Cancer Institute. I am 69 & cleaned from today. I am able to perform all my duties & responsibilities.
